Why I started blogging

I wish I had this GENIUS idea for why I started my blog but…. Unfortunately, I don’t (shoulder shrug). I started my blog with a couple of things in mind. Man, I was totally on the edge of starting a blog though… I researched and researched and doubted and doubted then I was like “What the heck! What do I have to lose?” I only thought that because I knew I wanted to start my blog for free and not sell my soul right away haha.

Why I started blogging

First off

I wanted to have an outlet to where I could meet people from around the world and to give them ideas and motivation. I am a stay at home mom so my hopes were to create content that was helpful for other parents and be able to be social with other people. If you are a stay at home mom you know how crazy you can get just being home with the kids lol.

Second

I wanted to put out more positivity in hopes that others would put more kindness and thought into the world. You know, I see so many people on the internet being so rude and discouraging. That is seriously something that the world does NOT need right now. We need people to lift each other up and be more helpful. Think before you speak and if you don’t have anything nice to say then just don’t say it at all. Don’t waste your energy on saying mean things. Everyone has their own way of doing things and people have their own opinions, so just let them live their lives the way they want. The only thing we can do is be positive and have a positive mindset towards things.

The third reason

I wanted to be able to earn an income while staying home with my kiddos. Let me break it down for you. I got pregnant with my baby girl and decided to go back to school. The beginning plan was to go to school, finish and then work after my maternity leave. That didn’t quite happen. I graduated from the administrative assistant program at a career training school then I went off to my externship after my maternity leave. While I was on my externship my mother in law took care of my baby girl and my son went to daycare. My husband and I would drive A LOT during that time since we had to take the baby to my mother in laws across town and then my son to daycare and all that just got pretty tiring. My husband and I talked about me staying home, we made sure that we would be financially stable with one income and we took the leap! I’ve been a stay at home mom with both kids since January 2017. I am so grateful for being able to be with them and enjoy them growing up. Earning an income from blogging would be amazing and helpful! I get to work at home, be my own boss and enjoy my kids.

“Stay positive & don’t let doubt get in the way.”
