Oh, how I seriously needed to schedule my life!
I am so glad that I finally took the time to sit down and make a schedule for myself.
As you may already know from my SAHM routine post, I don’t really like routines. I like scheduling things though. It is mainly a way to show me what needs to be done so I don’t get sidetracked and forget. I forget things a whole lot! (mom life).
I am going to be laying out for you a schedule of my blog promoting, blog posting & the house chores that I need to get done. Before this schedule, I was all over the freakin’ place. I was focusing more on my blog/ promoting and not on my home. I would half-ass my cleaning at home just so I could try and get some blog stuff done. Now, that I have this layout I feel so much more accomplished and relaxed.
I don’t let blogging take over my life.
This is something that happens easily once you start blogging (well at least with me it did). I have learned not to let that happen anymore. When it comes to my daily promo I only do what I can and I don’t overwhelm myself. If I have something planned that day and I know I won’t have time for much, I get my housework done first. I then do at least one FB group post, something easy so I don’t get all antsy lol.
Don’t feel obligated.
This is your blog/ business. I understand the fact that it is best to stay on track of your schedule, but seriously you guys IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD if you miss a week. I am all about quality over quantity. Therefore I would much rather miss a week & have a good post the following week.schedule-watermarked

I learned “Batching” from Megan @ LoveFamilyHealth. You can check out her blog post here that gives more details on how this awesome idea works. She is super helpful and I am sure she will be more than happy to answer any question you may have. When it comes to content, keyword research and creating images for the post and pins I will work on that throughout the week when I have time (mainly at night).
I am trying to make a habit of commenting on other blogs. I aim for 2 a day M-F. In the blogging world, it’s nice to get a random and genuine comment from someone. By commenting you are also showing support and you could make some awesome blogging buddies. Along with commenting, it is good to be active on social media and to show love to fellow bloggers. Commenting, sharing, following, and liking is an awesome way to help each other out. Support and help one another!
I use Facebook groups as my main promo. FB groups are super helpful to get your content out there. They don’t just have promo days, some have days to ask questions and get any help you may have.
When it comes to the home chores I just put the main things that need to be done. For “deep clean” I’ll scrub the baseboards or really get deep down and clean an area that doesn’t need to be cleaned all the time (windows, vents, laundry room). I love to declutter! When I get the chance, I’ll declutter throughout the house. It feels so good to get rid of things we don’t need.
I am hoping this inspires you to organize your own schedule.
A tip that I have is to work around your life. You can’t have blogging work around you. I had the blogging world on my mind 24/7. I was always so anxious about it, being a new blogger, I just wanted to learn everything and do something with the blog all the time. Don’t let that happen to you. In the end, your home, family, and well-being matter the most. Oh, please don’t think I ignored my kids or anything lol I just ignored my home and what I needed to do for myself.
